I am reading this on a lot of blogs lately. Most of the bloggers who are writing this mean to include ANYONE who will not assimilate to American culture and Christianity.
And that includes Jews also.
Many Rabbis are cautioning American Jews against getting caught up in the anti Muslim fervor that is overtaking this country. We should remember that we also are guests in a Christian country and that we often ask for special accommodations, religious rights and exclusions.
There has not been anytime in history when Muslims have been persecuted where Jews were not also persecuted.
The Christian majority succeeded in finally expelling the last remnant of the Muslim population of Spain in 1491 along with the aid of many Jews.
The Jewish Expulsion (during which half of Spain’s Jewish population perished) was in 1492.
Watch what you wish for.

My father was very ably and gently cared for in his fight against leukemia by a Syrian doctor. This Dr. came to see my father on his days off, called at home and even accompanied my father when he was transferred to another NJ hospital to be treated for a nearly fatal infection.
My father is B”H alive and well 9 years later thanks to Hashem and the Rofeh who was clearly a shaliach of Hashem.
I do not think that hatred of other Monotheists who are obligated according to their prophet and Quran to “protect and help the People of the Book” is a Torah value.

May I humbly suggest you find out what you are talking about before you tar and feather all of Saint Joe’s?
They are the closest decent emergency care facility to Passaic and that is why many people go there.
The hospital has been very sensative to the needs of shomrai shabbos and have provided a shabbos room for family members who wish to stay in the hospital over shabbos.
(I am sure there are people who have had problems with saint Joe’s too. After all, they are not saints.)
If you are going to tell people to avaoid Saint Joe’s I assume you have a better alternative in mind.

Response to post on St. Joseph Hospital in Paterson.
As someone who grew up in Paterson a one time city with a thriving Jewish community to which holocaust survivors were brought from Europe to work in its factories, whose well spent lives proudly raising Jewish children, proud to be Americans, and contributions to our beloved adopted land has enriched all people both in America and the world – it is saddening to read of the devolution of Paterson, a once proud New Jersey city.
Tell that to the people who insist on using St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson. St. Joseph’s is full of Arab and Palestinian doctors.
People insist that since they are doctors they are not a threat, but do you really want to trust your life to an Arab or Palestinian?
There are so many ways a doctor can kill someone and make it look like it was natural. They can also just not provide a certain treatment that would have helped, that no one will notice it was not provided.
This story shows you cannot trust even doctors who are Arabs.
