Samuel Wurzelbacher gained the nickname “Joe the Plumber” for expressing working-class concerns about taxes to then-candidate Barack Obama during a stop to the region.

The Toledo-area plumber defeated Steve Kraus, a Sandusky real estate agent, early Wednesday to grab the GOP nomination in Ohio’s 3rd Congressional District.

He faces an uphill climb in the fall against veteran U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur, who won the Democratic primary. The newly drawn district snaking along the Lake Erie shoreline from Toledo to Cleveland tilts toward Democrats.

So let me get this straight…. and uneducated fool who became the clown of the last election after his whole story turned out to be a lie…. WON?

Way to go Ohio 3rd! I bet the 50+ of South Carolina tea partiers who were at least “unsure” as to whether Hawaii was a state are feeling PRETTY GOOD about themselves today! LOL

If he really wants to help in Washington, he might need his plunger, but really folks, I think this guy is going to get flushed.

    *smacking my forehead*

Is THIS what our politics has come to?!?!

Please… I hope no one comes on here talking about how Ronald Reagan once acted in a movie w\a chimpanzee! (lol)

Because this “Joe the Plumber” (a.k.a Samuel Werzelbacher) is NO Ronald Reagan, and he knows NOTHING about how to run a district.

It is ABSURD that people are taking this man seriously enough to trust him w\running parts of our government! What?!?!

Say what you want about Barack Obama’s previous experience before he became a Senator… but for heaven’s sakes! At least Barack Obama worked as a community organizer & paid his dues w\the community & slaved away working long hours, making little pay & helping some of the most poor & disenfranchised people around where he lived!

What the BLEEP has this guy done for his community?! What does he even KNOW about government or how to run it?! What does he KNOW about what the district actually NEEDS, since he hasn’t put in ANY time w\the people of his district (except for those who come to listen to his speeches), nor has he volunteered or helped the poor, etc!

How can anybody in the right-wing complain about Obama when they support people like “Joe”?!?!

He may have been a community organizar at one time.

What is wrong with Joe, the Plumber, as a Congressman? At least, he is one of the common folk, and not the elitists who presently serve in the House of Representatives, who somehow feel that they are better than their average constituent. This guy was educated in the school of hard knocks, and he can better relate to the average constituent, than the incompetents on Capital Hill.
