The drama began unfolding Thursday morning, when New York Police Department narcotics officers raided a third-floor Brooklyn apartment. Police say a drug suspect kicked a shield used by an officer who had his pistol drawn, causing the pistol to shoot.
A bullet went through the floor and into an apartment below, where the Japanese woman was sleeping. It caused a minor wound on her left arm.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly visited the woman in a hospital and learned her main concern was she’d miss a flight for Barbados later Thursday. He arranged for a police escort to Kennedy airport.
The drug suspect was arrested.
so nice of them !
Was nice, but we paid for it………………………
as they say , it’s who you know
Did he give her also a PBA card?
It shows the fairness of the NYPD. Also, the noble character of the Comissioner. Another (LA, Chicago?!) PD, would probably shrug off the incident as part of a day’s work.
