How do you like that. After all the complaints that only the police can deal with abusers it turns out that not only do they do nothing but they show their strength against those that try to do something.

Im sure we will hear comments about how charedim need to respect the law and vigilatism is not justifiable… even when the israeli police are known to arrest the victim and not help charedim… these same people will be those who accuse all charedim of pedophilia and harboring them.

Our children are resorting to crime to prove themselves these days. Wouldn’t it be better if there were more sports and other outlets for our children to silence their aggression?

As long as Rabbonim protect the molestors, vigilantes will flourish!

how do they know that this person was part of the ring, did they have prove.

vigilantism is many times emotional driven and often they attack the wrong person.

I hope they did their homework, but many times that is not the case.

as far as lack of police actions, where their people willing to press charges testify and go through with it ?

these type of crimes really need the victim to step up, and in the ultra orthodox communities that almost never happens

Cover it up or raise up a lynch mob.
Haven’t these people ever heard of police, courts, evidence and the Law?

    Oy l’rasha, oy l’shchaino!
Anyone who does nothing is also guilty. If you’re innocent, leave. Hopefully Hashem will strike down the ir hanidachas and all of the gedolim that kept silent.

as a frum person who’s friend was murdered because these self righteous women accused him of being a pedophile. Their claims are grossly exaggerated, from one hundred kids molested, the police were able to ascertain only 7, as for an international porno ring, nothing was found on any computer, as for ten pedophiles, only one was found.
Please do not continue the mindless hysteria of a few demented women who’s tongues caused the murder of an innocent man.

Face it. Molestation exists, it is terrible, and needs to be addressed better than it is now. Having said that, we must remain aware that the subject is highly emotionally charged. And when emotions reign, intellect shrinks. There are many allegations of sexual abuse that are not credible. Some are hoaxes, some are exaggerated, some are misinterpreted. True law enforcement avoids the media where everything gets messed up, waved in the eyes of the public with minimal accuracy, all out of zealousness. As we frown on zealots and fanatics in any other area, we must reject it here, too. I do not minimize the importance of ridding our community of predators. They need to be arrested, locked up, and never released. But we need to manage the process so that our zeal and egos remain safely off to the side. Let justice reign, not vigilantism, not the public shmearing of reputations of those who have not been convicted. The fire of revenge gets directed at anyone, proof notwithstanding. That is equally as murderous. In dinai nefashos, we must proceed with intellectually driven caution and care.

there is so much confusion in this story. many lies. no real legal protection for the children for various reasons. being here and knowing a lot of what is going on,plus meeting victims, this is not hysterica or lies. the woman beaten up was connected with the perverts. fact. we dont know who beat her up and i am sure the police have to find someone to blame to cover up there lacks which is normal here. babies were tortured and raped, for those who want to cover this up. shame on you.how come you dont come with me to meet the victims instead of mindlessly blaming them. not found guilty in israel just means you had money and a good lawyer not that you are innocent. truth will be totally revealed and all the claims will be proven. much has already changed for the good, all the parents are now talking about it all through the city, children better protected. the perverts are moving to other areas to find fresh victims but now everyone is aware of this. just because you know someone when you visit and chat and they are lovely and sweet, does not mean you know what they do behind closed doors.

People went from one extreme to the other. Unfortunately, pedophilia exists in the frum world & the best option to deal with it is for professionals to handle everything from initial investigation to punishment.
