The woman was unharmed but her vehicle sustained light damage.

It is believed that the attack was perpetrated because of the perceived lack of modesty of the woman’s attire.

In a moving car that would be charged in New York with depraved indifference to human life or attempted murder.

Was someone killed and did they launch rocket prepeld grenades ? or just because the driver who perhaps was’t chariedi says that this happened in a chariedi neighborhood then it becomes the biggest crime in Israel ? Wait when they will find out that this happened in a secular neighborhood or by a secular person then no media will report this news .

if she was immodest look away but throwing stones involves looking at her no?

These culprits are nothing but terrorists who are NOT Jewish. Whatever cult they belong to cannot be considered Yiddishkeit.

This is such a shame. These extremists should move to Iran or other fundamentalist countries. They have more in common with them tham with Jews

Wait for the sicko apologists to say that she deliberately provoked the ehrliche yidden of Beit Shemesh, who just want to live in peace. The provocation was so great that they just had to stone her in order to uphold the kedushah of their holy neighborhood.

For god’s sake….she was IN A CAR and driving through the outer fringes of the chareidi neighborhood…..not walking around undressed or engaging in some type of pritzus in front of these animals. Where does it stop?

The frum Taliban were nice they should have shlepped that lady of her car and stoned her, skile, cherek, wonderful Yiddishkeit more or less like the Hitler Youth I suffered from in Vienna and of course we seek and demand tolerance, religious madness. G’d bless America

Why does everyone believe this woman is telling the truth?
I have lived here for 7 wonderful years and have never seen any violent activity. There are, however, people here that feel a need to “stir the pot” for whatever political reasons/aspirations they have. Don’t believe everything you hear/read – RBS is a truly wonderful place where the majority of people are tolerant, accepting, and peace loving individuals.

“It is believed that the attack was perpetrated because of the perceived lack of modesty of the woman’s attire.”

Believed, but they don’t really know? Maybe it wasn’t because of that. Maybe she was dressed tzniusdikly but she was coming to tell them that their welfare checks would be delayed. Or something like that.

This is just to make the poor chareidim look bad. We dont know both sides of the story, to which there are two to every.

Now the information comes out she was driving fast and a couple with small children were crossing the street and when others waived her to slow down she refused. So for the safety of the small children they stopped her this way.

Am I the only here in town to be sick & tires of these kind of stories? I mean, come on! Every week or so the same stupid stories, whic in best case, is overdone & overrated. And even it that should be true and there ARE a few animals amongst the cheredim, there is no need to publish these stories and add oil to the fire, more SINAS YISROEL among ehrlivha yiden.

Please, VIN, I beg you. There is no purpose in publicizing all these kind of stories. You make no one happy, but rather everyone angry. Stop it, and SHOLOM AL YISROEL.

I’d like to once again thank VIN for bringing important stories to the attention of its readers. This sort of depraved violence must be stopped. We need to stop being tolerant of those who intolerance breeds violence.

A Jewish woman driving is in and of itself immodest conduct. It does not matter what she is wearing. Our Holy Torah and through it our Heilige Rabbonim will decide what is immodest not the sickos on this website.

I guess no one had rocks thrown at them by farshultina Arabs because otherwise the Israeli press would have reported that!?!

The commentators who said that they were trying to slow her down make an interesting point in that is it possible that we are all commenting on something that happened completely otherwise? What kind of accuracy can we expect when there is so much media sensationalism looking for a good story?
Look, in Israel it is hot – especially this time of year so you cannot fault a woman for wanting to stay cool. And anyway, I thought the Haredim look at the sidewalk when they walk the street? How about from now on thirty lashes with a pair of wet tzitzis for not looking at the sidewalk? Ok, forty?

One thing was gained by the stone throwing. Modern non tzneius dressed women will dress modestly when driving or walking in frum areas. This should serve as a warning to all immodestly dressed secular women to dress like a Jewess is suppose to dress. It accomplishes more than all the mussar about tznius. A woman will think twice how she goes out dressed in our holy land.

If these stone throwers would come to my community, they would have to bring plenty of stones with them. Today, I went into an Optometrist’s office to make an appointment. I was shocked when the woman behind the counter, who made the appointments (she was not a young woman, but an older woman), emerged, wearing an extremely low cut blouse. Today, nobody feels any shame, as they would have years ago. I can’t understand why the Optometrist didn’t send that inappropriately dressed employee home, to change? Also, I’ve noticed this kind of “attire” at airports, of late. A real shanda, how our society has deteriorated!

I don’t know the facts of this story but a friend of my sisters from bet shemesh posted on facebook that she and a friend drove around ramat bet shemesh bet with the radio blaring a suggestive song and called out the window the suggestive lyrics to chassidishe men. Now, this woman wears long sleeves but this was both pritzus and a provocation of the highest order and I would understand why someone would throw rocks at her car (even though it is wrong to do so). I have no idea if this incident represents a similar sort of provocation but I cannot believe that a woman driving through ramat bet shemesh bet like a mentsh would have rocks thrown at her, regardless of how she is dressed.

The lady should be glad. She wasn’t stoned nearly as much as some of those defending the person who attacked her.

There is no question that the attackers should be arrest.
There is no question that the community must be educated in Torah.
There is no doubt that these people are uneducated by any standard, but are considered educated by a few.

To Mr. Zimmerman and Anonymous, who obviously don’t live here, or are so poisoned by the warmongerers in Sheinfeld that they can’t see the truth – please remember that sensitivity goes a long way. These ppl aren’t looking for trouble. They just don’t like insensitive ppl, or ppl who are inciteful coming into THEIR neighborhood. Notice these incidents aren’t happening anywhere else. Like I said, they’re not out wandering the streets looking for pritzus. As many intolerant ppl as there are in Rama B, I can assure you there just as many of the aforementioned in Sheinfeld. And as I originally stated, I live here and it is very rare that such incidents really occur – don’t believe everything you hear and read. And Dr. Zacharowitz – for such an educated person, shame on you for encouraging such one sided, inciteful, and totally unreliable reporting. Put your money where your mouth is – move to Israel and see what it’s like to be the object of news media who want to tear Klal Yisrael apart.

as a long time resident of ramat bet shemesh i can assure the many hysterical and/or self righteous talkbackers that this story is not true (either it is made up or completely taken out of context). i am well acquainted with the so called “kanaim” in RBS B and they don’t engage in stone throwing at random individuals no matter how they are dressed, the other 99.9% of the residents don’t throw stones at all. VIN simply copied it off an Israeli website without making any effort to verify it. it is embarrassing to watch jews who imagine themselves to be sophisticated and well informed be so easily manipulated by the Israeli media. why is it that many people who realize that not every anti Israel propaganda piece printed in the NY times needs to be believed, somehow fail to grasp that the Israeli media is even more biased against charedim and has no credibility whatsoever.
