Manhattan, NY - Is Anthony Weiner still considering running for mayor?

The disgraced Congressman appears to be quietly ramping up campaign activity, new campaign filings submitted Friday show.

Weiner, who never formally terminated his campaign account for a mayoral run after resigning from Congress last year, spent nearly $40,000 over the past six months on office expenses, the records show.

Weiner has recently reappeared to have been feeling out a potential return to public life after months out of the spotlight.

His spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.

Is it my imagination or are all of these sex deviant politicians democrats. Gary Hart, Clinton, Edwards, who was that gay governer of NJ, now spitzer.

I guess the liberal"anything goes" philosophy goes just a little too far!

It is your imagination.

Remember REPUBLICAN Senator Larry Craig...arrested for soliciting gay sex in a public men's room?

And what about Newt Gingrich's numerous marital infidelities?

this is too easy:

What about Republicans Mark Foley, John Ensign, David Vitter, Bob Livingstone, Bob Packwood and Larry Craig?

Since no one can really say they're above any improprieties and behavior unbecoming, why stop with politicians? How about the misbehavior amongst clergy, teachers, parents, librarians, stock brokers, lawyers, doctors, dentists, football coaches etc. To turn a blind eye to the 10% of the meshugoyim in the velt is a disservice to all.

It happens just, or almost as often by Republicans. The difference is what happens after. A Republican either leaves quickly on his own, or gets pushed out really fast from fellow Republicans, before it becomes major news. Democrats think they can still stay on the job, so they wait until it is in the news for awhile before they do anything. Politically, they don't get any push from fellow Democrats to leave, and it's only the Republicans pushing them out. Many even end up staying in.

This line of thinking is for everything unethical. Look at Nixon vs Clinton. Nixon was pushed out off office by fellow republicans. Clinton, could barely get any dem in the House of Reps to vote for impeachment, even though he admitted to lying under oath.

and Republican Mark Sanford "hiking the Appalachian trail".

You need to rely on facts and information and not your imagination.

Really? John Ensign's Senate colleagues tried to help him hide the affair and David Vitter continues to sit in office even after his name appeared in the appointment book of D.C.'s most busy madam. Larry Craig didn't resign and neither did Newt.

Ensign's Republican colleagues helped him hide his affair, David Vitter still serves despite being outed by the appointment book of the D.C. madam. Also, Newt won't go away despite all of his infidelities. Larry Craig? Mark Sanford didn't resign either and pretty much carried on his affair.

Please inform yourself with actual information.

and it was Pelosi, on the record, that forced Weiner to resign, not the Republicans. I don't even like Pelosi but the truth is the truth.

What about Republican Newt Gingrich. Not only was he having affairs while married, but he was hypocritical enough to simultaniously impeach Clinton over the same behavior and to be expounding "family values" as part of the Republican platform.

What about the former police commissioner of NYC (who is in prison), who was having simultaneous affairs with several women, while married. What about Congressman Wilbur Mills, Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, who was found with a stripper, after their car crashed. What about Lyndon Johnson, whose escapades were well known, even in the White House. The same goes for JFK, and Bobbie Kennedy. A shanda!

Don't know if you meant what you wrote about 10% of the Meshugoyim, or if you meant that 10% of the world is meshugge. If the latter, then you are really a person who is "dan lekav zchus", as the real percentage of people in this world who are crazy is much, much higher than 10%!

why are almost all of the comments here in response to comment #1 instead of the article? Everyone just wants to show off?

What is there to say about a rumor of a mayoral run?

It's a waste of money. Even in New York City there are some limits and Weiner clearly went beyond them. The "tweets" will all be back on the front pages and he will be the laughing stock, bringing further shame on his family. People who I know in City government all stay Christine Quinn pretty much has a lock on the Dem nomination, anyway.

Good idea. Unlike the others mentioned, Weiner never even met the women. He was a great friend of Israel and the Yidden. Turner was a smutz peddler of the Jerry Springer Show and has not done a thing. Weiner made a dumb mistake. When you compare the rest of the Mayoral field to Weiner there is no contest.

This is called a trial balloon in politics. They want to see what people say. Undoubtedly, liberal foolish Orthodox Jews in NYC whose only concern is keeping food stamps flowing will vote for whomever panders enough. He has millions to spend but there is no way he will win any office.
