The announcement, by St Gall hospital in the country’s northeast, follows a decision on Thursday by the Zurich children’s hospital to temporarily suspend the operation, media reported.

“We are in the process of evaluating the legal and ethical stance in Switzerland,” Marco Stuecheli, spokesman for the Zurich hospital, told AFP.

“There can be complicated cases where the mother of a child wants a circumcision but the father is opposed to it.”

The development is unlikely to affect the practice in Switzerland, where it can be carried out in any hospital for a fee, the spokesman added.

“Most Jewish patients go to specialist doctors known within their community,” the spokesman said, adding that the hospital carried out “only one or two circumcisions for religious reasons per month”.

These shkotzim dont realize who CREATED ethics and morality. Dont they realize that their own g0d was circumsized? Yushka was surely circumsized as he was a Jew in Israel by the Beis Hamikdosh. Their own bible books recount G-ds commandment to have a Bris. So how can they go against their own Book? Their heretics by their own definition.

Only Yidden are commanded to have a bris milah. The Torah was given to us and we have to abide by it. Just because a non Jew believes in the Old Testament it does not mean he has to be circumcised. As long as Jews are allowed to have mohelim do bris milah, what’s the problem?

Switzerland is worried aout bris mila. Switzerland horded the gold recovered from the molten gold fillings and crown of those gassed in Switzerland, it prhibits shechita and provided travel documents to war criminals

No. Switzerland is worried about her own skin. Afraid of being charged with harming a newborn. Just as she was afraid of angering the Germans and jeopardizing her “neutrality” by accepting Jewish refugees (even if it meant these Jews will be killed) while simultaneously funneling money to the Germans by cashing their (our) gold. Apparently not so afraid the U.S. will attack her, while profiting nicely… Otherwise known as cowardice and greed, speckled with a nice dose of anti-Semitism…

Interesting comments. More interesting was the chareidi Rabbi who threatemed to move his yeshiva from Israel to Switzerland because of the drafting of chareidi boys.
