New York – On his O’Reilly Factor segment on Fox News Thursday night, syndicated columnist and Conservative political commentator Bill O’Reilly hailed United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Loretta Lynch as a hero for her part in filing federal charges against Andrew Goodman, after a Brooklyn judge sentenced him to the minimum sentence of just two years sexually abusing two Orthodox Flatbush brothers over a period of four years, as previously reported on VIN News.

O’Reilly slammed Brooklyn Supreme Court judge Martin Murphy for both his lenient sentence and his adamant refusal to discuss the case saying in his Talking Points Commentary “Ms. Lynch is obvious doing this to protect children from Goodman, something Judge Murphy is unwilling to do. She is a hero and should be respected by all American for standing up to a gross injustice. Finally we see a public official willing to right a grievous wrong and we want the entire country to see this.” O’Reilly noted that Lynch, a graduate of Harvard Law School, was appointed to her position by President Obama two years ago and is being assisted in the case by the FBI.
O’Reilly also criticized Governor Andrew Cuomo for not speaking out against Judge Murphy’s sentence, which he called “a judicial atrocity that has embarrassed the state,” and questioned why both New York and New Jersey are among the only eight states in the nation that have not passed Jessica’s law, legislation that classifies sexual abuse against a child under age twelve as a life felony that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of twenty five years.
The O’Reilly Factor is the most watched cable news show in America and its host called upon viewers to sign a petition on his website www.billoreilly.com, urging both Governors Cuomo and Christie to pass Jessica’s law.
I am starting to wonder the relationship between Judge Murphy and Goodmans attorney..I was there at almost every hearing and never liked the friendly conversation between Judge Murphy and Goodmans attorney…I am glad that justice will be served.
Bravo to Bill O’Reilly for his stance on this issue. This is a wake up call to the rabbonim, the askanim, of which some are protectors and enables of the likes of this convicted rapist. A new day is dawning B’H!
This can protect all of our children. Too bad it takes a Bill O’Reilly to praise Ms. Lynch and not one of our own politicians who remain silent.
OU and Agudah don’t have a grip on cable news and talk show hosts because voting bribes don’t work there. I urge Frum activists against kosher child abusers to reach out to cable news networks to publicize this problem. Expose the political and judicial corruption in NY State and you will start seeing more successful prosecutions.
I’m worrried about Jessica’s law. In a lot of these cases were talking about a child victims word against the accused and in an overzealous time do we really wanna risk putting possibly innocent people away for a minimum of 25 years?
Wow. I finally agree with Bill O’Reilly on something.
