Manchester, NH - New Romney Ad Attacks Obama of 'Gutting Welfare Reform' |
|
Manchester, NH - Republican Mitt Romney’s campaign is renewing its criticism of President Barack Obama’s changes to welfare.
Romney’s campaign is launching a new television advertisement accusing Obama of “gutting welfare reform.” The ad says Romney would “put work back in welfare.”
Romney says Obama lifted a provision that required people receiving welfare to work. The White House says Romney’s assertions are false.
Obama moved last month to allow states to seek waivers from some welfare rules if they show that doing so results in better outcomes. Conservatives fear the waivers will lead to an end of the work requirement.
The Romney campaign did not say which states the ad would run in. The campaign says Romney will press the welfare issue during a town hall in New Hampshire Monday.

This ad has been PROVEN FALSE time & time again! Even by Independent organizations!
I really wish that **BOTH** parties would knock it off w\these deceptive ads & just stick to the facts!
Besides... it's nonsense that Mitt Romney is even bothering to bring up Welfare, Medicare, Social Security or any of these things!
Everyone knows that The Republicans have HATED Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid since their inceptions!!! Hello!!!
Now we're supposed to believe all Romney & Ryan want to do is SAVE these programs & reform them & "preserve" them?! Ha!
Who is really believing any of it?!?! Everyone knows Republicans HATE these programs! HATE THEM!!! Always have!!!

So if you agree with someone's political/policy views, you automatically agree with them on religion and theology. With that warped logic, I would argue that you are an Atheist because a good percentage of your hero Libs and Socialists are.
Give me a break.
You would actually do yourself some good reading Atlas Shrugged, maybe you would realize that your political views are doomed to fail and bring down this society.

No kidding, Butterfly! I never thought I'd see such a flip-flopping candidate as Mitt Romney... until I saw Paul Ryan! :-P
Do You know Ryan not only voted for TWO stimulus packages (2002 & 2008) under the Bush Administration... but there's actually video footage of him out on the Legislative floor ARGUING FOR these stimuluses because (and I quote) "every economist agrees that to do a stimulus every so often when the country is in a recession, is very important. We need to keep people getting their Unemployment checks & being able to keep their health insurance if there is no work."
*gasp* LOL!!! It's right there on YouTube, girl!
So this Romney\Ryan ticket is a JOKE. I mean Ryan argues FOR stimuluses when Bush was in office... but when President Obama does one, (a mix of tax-cuts & spending- JUST like Bush's stimuluses), somehow it's the "crumbling of America as we Know it" or "Socialism on Steriods"?!?!
(eyeroll) Whatever! Who's buying what those two men are selling?! At least I KNOW my President cares about the poor & working-class, and always HAS- even back when working as a lowly, under-paid community organizer! You know, that selfless but low-paying job he took once leaving Harvard, even though he could have forgot about the community who made him, he could have left them behind & made millions at some law firm?!
Oh but I forgot: millionaires like Mitt Romney MAKE FUN of people who do that job! Make FUN of the poor! And Ryan is just as bad as a hypocrite as Romney!

This tired rhetoric that those who need assistance once they lose a job, or families that need additional health care their jobs don't provide or need Food Stamps to supplement their job's income not being enough to pay the bills AND feed their families.... are somehow *ALL* people who refuse to work, lazy, parasites, moochers or are people looking for a hand-out, is some of the most disgusting rhetoric I think I *regularly* hear come out of "G-d fearing people"'s mouths. I don't know how you all can read the SAME Torah I read, and still talk about the poor the way you do.
Not to mention... my husband is an IRONWORKER & I'm a mother of two, one handicapped. We don't take any $ from the gov't, have Blue Cross health care (NOT Medicaid), and don't receive Food Stamps either!
So this fallacy that *ALL* Democrats don't like to work or expect hand-outs is a fallacy too! LOL
But it seems to me these days... pretty much *ALL* racists, homophobes, womanizers, anti-semites & greedy people, seem to be Republicans! (:-D
Just sayin!

Perhaps you're not aware of this.. Ayn Rand was an atheist. She was quite outspoken about her atheism. So how would reading a work that is nostalgic for Czarism and was written by an Atheist be worthwhile?

Way to go, Sherry! I'm in full agreement with your comment no. 1. The last time I took government money was when I was between jobs 35+ years ago and went on unmeployment for about 6 weeks. I've been working continuously ever since.
