Some 20,000 pilgrims are expected to flock to Uman this year on 130 different flights, which started leaving Israel on September 11-16. The busiest day, tomorrow September 13, will see 8,000 worshippers take off on 48 flights.

Passengers were asked to arrive at the airport four hours before their scheduled flight, after many of the travelers in the past had come without the required documents and sometimes even with invalid passports.

Stay home with your families and teach your sons how to daven on yom tov instead of all of you traipsing off to a country steeped in anti antisemitism and hatred. all they want is your money. And number 6–I totally agree with you about the flight attendants. These people are difficult on a regular flight to Israel let alone a plane full. At least they won’t have to serve food cause they probably brought their own stuff. Another thing I don’t undertand–so many men they are the ones who are davening all seem to be davening bi’yichidus. No minyan availabe? I find that hard to believe.

The rabbis should put an end to this ridiculous practice of leaving thousands of frum wives and children without their husbands and fathers for one of the most important holidays of the year. Disgraceful, where is the kedusha in all this.

Love the kid on the luggage turnstile, I have never seen that before in my life, and if he loses a few fingers then it will be the fault of the airline. Also like the bit about some not having passports etc. Blame the airline.

Imagine. leave Erets Yisrael for Rosh Hashana, so you can daven in the Ukraine! Methinks I ought to surrender my title

The fact about the Uman trips are very simple: Almost 30% of the people traveling, make a 1-2 day stop over on the way back to either Frankfort Germany, or Amsterdam.

IMO anyone that travels there with a stop on the way back, has no business going there in the first place. I was there once years back and can tell you i would not go there and not allow my children to go there.

Even more important is , that the adults that go there, thats one thing, but the fact that thousands of 17 and 18 year old boys are there, that is terrible

    Just my opinion

I thought that VIN had blotted out the face on the first photo, until another poster pointed out that he himself was covering his face so he wouldn’t see a member of the oppostie gender. This is not Yiddishkeit! This is a sickness, he should stay home and look at his wife then!

A perfect example of this whole mishegas is this. There’s : ways to plead In court, guilty as charged, plea bArgain, or insanity. We jews come on rosh hashona to hashems court and we say “I’m sorry hashem I know I’ve sinned and go for a plea bargain and say well try to be better this year ” and then there are the ones that plead insanity and run off to uman to prove it!!! Lol
