    The impact was severe: making rivers out of coastal roads, forcing those who waited too long to be rescued by boats or fearfully ride out. Power was out for hundreds of thousands in New York City and an estimated 8.2 million across the East. Stock started trading Wednesday after it was closed in the U.S. for two consecutive days. Schools and some public transportation remain closed for a third day, city streets are littered with debris and fallen trees.

    I thought this was over hyped, but seeing the damage, this was the real thing.
