United Nations - The U.N. chief on Wednesday called on Israel and Palestinian Hamas militants to prevent an escalation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, which Hamas controls, and urged both sides to ensure civilians will be protected, a U.N. spokesman said.

“The Secretary-General calls for an immediate de-escalation of tensions,” U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky said, adding that it was a reiteration of Ban’s already-stated position.

“Both sides should do everything to avoid further escalation and they must respect their obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure the protection of civilians at all times,” he told reporters.

To all the dear Jew haters of the UN:

It's high time you direct your messages about aggression and de-escalating tensions to the barbarians who are responsible. Don't even bother saying these messages to Israel, that is only acting in self defense. Once the rockets and other forms of terror stop, you will watch Israel stop its bombing and air stikes.

Where was the UN for the past several weeks when Hamas was firing rockets into Israeli towns? Now that Israel sent one of them back home to Allah, Kak-em-oon from the UN wakes up?

My opinion: isreal sould give back for the arabs what they stole them in 1967 & promise you they will stop throwing rockets,

Thank you UN for protesting the killing of an innocent terrorist. This is much worse than firing thousands of rockets into a sovereign nation. I'm glad US citizens pay for you to spread your messages of hate from our financial capital (NY). Maybe the UN can be the next industry we outsource.

Mr. Secretary General if you are serious please prepare yourself and leaders of the U.N. to spend several nights in Arad, Ashdod, and Eilat, without prior press announcement, then you can talk.

As soon as Israel mops up in Gaza, there should be one more surgical airstrike in New York to take out the UN.

Once again you try to hide your hatred for Jews by place c"v within your rant. Do you realize that every time you make a statement it is to bring comfort to the enemies of the Jewish people.
Your mistake, other than you can't spell Israel, is that Israel stole nothing in 1967. c"v your views would be followed millions of Jews could die. Since Nazis won't answer this question, I will ask you....How does it feel to hate the Jewish people? Do you feel better when a rocket hits Israel?
