“I saw it was all dark,” Scharf said in an interview from the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, according to reports on Israeli news source Arutz Sheva. “I remember that I found the children, but I couldn’t find my wife. It is a miracle that the four of us survived.”

Four year old Yosef Scharf is still fighting for his life following the attack, while his two sisters, two year old Chana and nine month old Geula are staying with relatives.

R’ Chaim Kanievski paid a visit to Scharf in the hospital, giving him a bracha that both he and his children should have a speedy recovery from their injuries and expressing his condolences on the loss of his wife.
