Gaza group Islamic Jihad said that the Israeli strike on the media center kills 1 of its top militant leaders

Thick black smoke rose from the building Monday as ambulances rushed to the scene. Paramedics say one person was killed and several wounded.

It’s the second strike on the building in two days. The Hamas TV station, Al Aqsa, is located on the top floor.

Israeli aircraft have struck several crowded areas in the Gaza Strip, driving up the Palestinian death toll to 94 and devastating several homes belonging to one clan as Israel broadened its targets in the 6-day-old offensive.

Hamas fighters also have fired hundreds of rockets into Israel in the current round of fighting, including 75 on Monday, one that hit an empty school.

Locals initially thought the dead man was the owner of a computer store on the third storey of the city center building.

Britain’s Sky News and Saudi-owned Al Arabiya Channel operate out of the same building, however, most journalists left their offices immediately after an initial strike on Sunday.

I am more hopeful now that the international community – as a whole and a good percentage of the media – finally are getting it. Just because a nation or an entity is not technologically & militarily advanced, doesn’t mean they are the morally superior underdogs & that we should have sympathy for them. Maybe empathizing with the civilians whom hamas uses as shields is appropriate but certainly not not for those in the leadership. That hope, unfortunately, does not apply for our leftist/secular Jewish brothers who insist against all rational & moral arguments that Israel should stop its campaign and stop the fighting. The question I have for VIN readers is why are some of our liberal/secular Jewish brothers so morally dense and other Non-Jews so lucid and morally clear on this and other issues related to Israel & the Jewish people? I am at a loss of understanding this phenomenon, especially if we, as Torah Jews, believe in the concept of the “Pintaleh Yid” with a Yiddishe Kup? Please explain from any perspective.
