Rabbi Yitzchak’s declaration came amid cheers and applause during a shiur Tuesday night in Bat Yam and marks the first time that the oftentimes controversial figure has suggested a foray into the world of politics. In the videotaped shiur, which appears on Rabbi Yitzchak’s shofar.tv website, Rabbi Yitzchak explains that he has been asked numerous times to take on a government position and has opted to create the new party, titled Koach L’Hashpia, the power to influence.

According to Rabbi Yitzchak, who says that polls already predict his winning a minimum of five or six seats in the upcoming Knesset election, the new party’s platform will be the return of the government to the hands of the people, and he promised to represent the average Israeli citizen and fight for their rights.

“We want people to represent us and deliver on their promises,” said Rabbi Yitzchak. “There should be bread for one shekel. There should be no more hungry people digging through garbages, pulling out rotten tomatoes and discarded cucumbers. Kibbutzim should be returned to the people so that young families will have appropriate places to live until they get established.”

Rabbi Yitzchak criticized elected officials for caring more about world opinion than the welfare of Israeli citizens.

“Stop letting Obama run our country,” declared Rabbi Yitzchak. “Nothing has changed in the past sixty four years. Now is the time and the opportunity to bring about change.”

Watch below the full speech of Rabbi Yitzchak where he announced today his political party.

There are way too many parties, especially Haredi parties. All these tiny parties will just give more seats to the Arabs.

I like the part about making sure no one ever has to scrounge through garbage dumps looking for rotting food so as not to go hungry. At least he got that right.

wonder if he asked hagon rav ahron leib shteinman daas torah on wether he should run for the knesset or not??
or did he only ask about his smart phone/tablet or perhaps didnt ask that either ?
i think this man is talented in many ways but it may have gone to his head of late
he definetly likes the good life smart phones, fancy new cars, driver, landing in public arenas by helicopter (all these dramatics cost mega bucks!! that could have been used to feed the people picking rotten tomatoes out of garbage dumps if he really cares) his dramatics are great he should join with someone whom he publicly shamed LIPA theyd make a great team together im sure LIPA would forgive him
as a matter of fact i think LIPA should run as he really sincerely cares about others

is there an end to this madness? How much attention can one person demand?

Unless people start ignoring this underqualified human being that drives a BMW by tricking people to his sharp tounge, he wont stop!

How gulliable are jewish people that they can be sold to anything that moves. When will we stop to confuse Warmth and emotions compared to Follishness and fraud.

Dont let our good nature and soft heart be confused with idiotcy and non sense! there is nothing wrong with telling someone that he is a fraudster and you will still get Olam Habbaa.

The “power to influence” comes from a higher power. Not from a political party. This guy should go roast some tomatoes and eat his own candy instead of passing it off for a Jewish life.

Shucks, I thought he would name his party” do as I say and not as I do”, as per cell phone story. Any suggestions for names of a new iPhone app to track his political career?

I started listening to him and don’t understand: 1) The name “Koach” sounds like WE GOT POWER, when all the power is from Hashem; 2) To return the government to the people – But a righteous government should return the people to the government, not the opposite. We shouldn’t want democracy to run the state, as many times people vote for what is convenient, not necessarily what is good for them; 3) Bread for shekel – But what about those who don’t have the shekel – Bread should be freely available to all those who need it just like we have food stamps here in the U.S.

I stopped listening at this point as I lost hope.
