Photo by Haim Zach/pool/ Flash90Jerusalem - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is accusing the international community of double standards, saying it condemns Israeli settlements in the West Bank but not Palestinians’ refusal to renew peace talks or militant group Hamas’ call for the end of the Jewish state.
Israel was widely condemned recently when it announced it would proceed with Jewish housing in a strategic area near Jerusalem after the U.N. accepted Palestine as a non-member observer state. Construction would be years away but the decision drew wide condemnation and Israeli diplomats were reprimanded.
Palestinians say building there separates Jerusalem from the West Bank, hindering their statehood plans.
Peace talks between the sides collapsed four years ago. Israel calls frequently for them to resume but Palestinians refuse to return to the table unless settlement building ends.

"Peace talks collapse four years ago". You need to get it straighten out. There is no such thing as peace with the Arabs. They will always want more and more. Lubavitch rebbe was right. He said do not give back any land of israel. It will only make things worse and that is exactly what's happening. Shrekedik

Finally, Israel is recognizing the sad truth.
The Zionist founders claimed that the "Jewish" state will reduce or eliminate anti-Semitism throughout the world.
They thought they found a way to thwart and defy Hashem;s decree of exile upon us.
We now know better. Natanyahu now knows better.
Come on Israel, admit it! We are still very much in Galus. Surrounded by 70 wolves "who don't really love us"...
The Zionist experiment really did look good "on paper". But now it's time to realize and confess that our exile will come to an end only when G-D, our only true "ally", makes it so.
May we soon have a truly joyful Channukah!
