    Ramat Gan, IsraelA Bar Ilan University lecturer sent a student out of his class on Tuesday because he was not wearing a kippa (skullcap) as per university regulations.

    The incident caused an uproar among students on social media networks, who demanded that the university change its policy.

    The university responded saying that when students register at the institution they commit to its regulations, which include wearing a kippa.
