New York, NY – The group that posted inflammatory ads in New York City’s subway system earlier this year plans to put up more ads.

The American Freedom Defense Initiative told The New York Times (http://nyti.ms/12cc4PP ) it has purchased space beside the roughly 220 clocks that hang above subway platforms in stations throughout the city.
The ads depict the twin towers engulfed in flames and a quote attributed to the Koran: “Soon shall we cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers.”
The group’s earlier ads equated Muslims or Palestinians with savages. They were displayed in 10 stations in September.
Transit officials said they were reviewing the request. The MTA recently approved similar ads from the group at Metro-North Railroad stations.
The agency has also sold space to groups that disagree with those messages.
If the sandal fits wear it
I suppose this is a good thing. I am sure we will not enjoy reading response ads, which will surely follow. But I never enjoyed reading the ones about acne or law offices either.
Truer words, like this ad, were never uttered!
Wherever it takes us, the truth has to be told. In the end the truth will prevail that’s what the sages teach us.
before everyone posts how good this is remeber we are in golus still. even if you are right we are not free yet to mouth and start up with other groups
#5 , this isn’t a Jewish group. But still, this is a stupid idea, totally lose-lose. Such a hate-mongering ad cannot hope to bring in a positive response (especially one with factual inaccuracies, such as in their definition of Jihad). They merely serve to make the advertisers seem bigoted and ridiculous. An ad that tried not to be so overly sensational, backed up facts, and actually focused on key issues and offered a response to the problems and therefore an actual PURPOSE to these ads (as there doesn’t really seem to be one- as with tznius lectures, the ones who know it already take the message in and those who don’t don’t want to know or ridicule the message) would be a much better idea than these laughable sensationalist ads.
TL/DR: These ads are a waste of space. These people should do something better with their money.
