Shas was careful not to condition the blessing on voting for Shas, because that would have been against the law.

I thought smartphones were a HUGE no-no.

“Shas was careful not to condition the blessing on voting for Shas, because that would have been against the law”

So if was not against the election laws, conditioning a baracha from Yosef on voting for Shas would be OK? Does halacha and daas torah look favorably on rabbonim bartering their barachos? I would expect such a scam from some of the kabalah types like Pinto but not from a gadol such as Yosef.

Can I use it to request a bracha for Degel Hatorah to win by a landslide?

There is no question that those supporting a frum party and thus making Israel halachadig will earn a blessing from G-d. Let’s hope the Chareidim take over.

How fast does the Bracha get there after you activate the app? The upgrade is supposed to be 3x faster, but is in beta now.

If this catches on you’ll see lots of rabbonim doing the same. Soon you’ll be able to follow your rebbe’s Twitter feed and ‘like’ him on Facebook.

All l’shaim shomayim, of course.
