Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Thursday.

“UNDOF (the peacekeeping mission) did not observe any planes flying over the area of separation and therefore was not able to confirm the incident. UNDOF also reported bad weather conditions,” U.N. spokesman Eduardo del Buey told reporters.

But Ban Ki-moon expressed “grave concern” over the reports that Israeli jets bombed a convoy near the Lebanese border, apparently hitting weapons destined for Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

“The Secretary-General notes with grave concern reports of Israeli air strikes in Syria,” Ban’s press office said in a statement. “The Secretary-General calls on all concerned to prevent tensions or their escalation … and to strictly abide by international law, in particular in respect of territorial integrity and sovereignty of all countries in the region.”

maybe they conveniently looked the other way because Israel is doing what the rest of the world doesn’t have the guts to do, but needs to do……bad weather is a convenient (and welcomed) excuse. Agree with the other Syrian comments.

This goes well with the UN not counting 60,000+ people killed, as only sleeping. The end will be that Israel will once again be condemned. To be honest for me the UN mission is a joke, and it is time that it closes.

You are all wrong about Ban Ki-Moon and Syria. He has forcefully condemned the massacre of 60,000 people. However, Russia and China sit on the Security Council and are using their veto power to block any resolutions or actions, so there’s nothing he, or the UN can do.
