Beautiful pictures. Why is it that the pictures of the modern orthodox megilah reading, all the men are dressed up in costumes and look festive, while at the chasidishe shuls only the children look happy and exited.
The Halacha dictates one to wear their Shabbos clothes on Purim so unless one has a Custom of doing otherwise, we follow the Halacha.
considering megillah was right after shabbos, not as many people came to shule in costume last nite
Commentator one is another ex orthodox blogger who is in dream land. No one celebrates Purim more intense thefervantly orthodox. In shul orthodox Jews are serious and not acting like babies in modern synagogues
i looked thru all the pictures and didnt recognize anyone
Please don’t drink, if u’re not used to it.
I feel like I’m about to vomet and can’t even look at wine.
Wonderful photos.
Saw a nice evening few people there that I do recognize. My own brother in law and sister looked like they were truly enjoying the moment!
having grown up MO and now living in Brooklyn, I actually think there is more dressing up here in the yeshivish circles.
one reason I suspect is that wearing the same black/white garb all year round develops a desire to wear some thing different
