New York, NY - Stocks on Wall Street plunged today as surging oil prices and slower growth in consumer spending erased optimism about the Federal Reserve’s positive take on the economy just a day earlier.
The Dow Jones industrial average finished down more than 350 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Stock Index were also down Thursday. [wnbc]
