New York, NY – New York City Comptroller John Liu who’s running for mayor says he’s fed up with the three-year investigation into his campaign fund-raising.

During a mayoral forum Thursday, Liu demanded investigators to “put up or shut up already because I’ve got an election to win.”
He asked what investigators had to show after interrogating thousands of his supporters and wire-tapping his phones for 18 months.
He said despite his record “there are still whispers about this cloud hanging over my head.”
He made the remarks during his closing statement.
The investigation goes back to 2009. His former campaign treasurer and a fundraiser are charged with conspiring to use straw donors to evade campaign finance laws. Both defendants have pleaded not guilty. Their trial is set for April 15.
Sounds paranoid and controlling. Don’t we have enough of these kind of “public servants” already. Can’t we get a government of the people, by the people and for the people? Or is it a government of the political, buy the people and for themselves that we’ve complacently accepted. “We’ve seen the enemy and he is us”, saith Pogo. Pogo would’ve made a great Mayor.
I know that I’m over paranoid but I suspect that Bloomberg may be in part behind this crazy investigation for 2 possible reasons.
1- Bloomberg wants his girlfriend Quinn (who joined him on the third term campaign) to win.
2- Bloomberg tends to fight all those that get in his way (look the way he cut the Public Advicate and took big revenge on minorities for not voting for him in third term).
Mr. Liu, sounds like you have something to hide.
