TRIBlive.com (http://bit.ly/17vm3SM) is reporting that Josh Wander, 42, said that, as an Orthodox Jew, he cannot attend Pittsburgh’s Black Political Convention candidates forum scheduled take place between 6 and 9 p.m. on Friday April 19th, and that he has asked “good friend” and like-minded conservative, Baptist minister C. L. Bryant from Grand Cane, LA to serve as his proxy.
Wander thanked Rev. Bryant for agreeing to stand-in for him and said he doesn’t foresee any problems because their “message” is the “same.”
Organizers of the event say Bryant’s appearance will “not” pose any problem.
The event is tailored around issues that affect Pittsburgh’s predominantly black neighborhoods.
Both Wander and Bryant say they believe Democratic initiatives have been exploiting blacks for years.
Wander, who is running unopposed on the GOP ticket, said he also plans to run as a “write-in” candidate for the Democratic nomination.
