Damascus, Syria – The Free Syrian Army has told Maariv that Israeli jets entered Syrian airspace early Saturday morning and successfully bombed a chemical weapons compound located near the city of Damascus.

UPI.com (http://bit.ly/ZRYJeV) is reporting that the Israeli jets flew over President Bashar Assad’s palace en route to their target, drawing fire from a Syrian defense battery, but sustained no damage.
A video posted by Free Syrian Army rebels showed smoke rising from the chemical weapons site.
There have been no reports of casualties or the extent of the damage.
Neither Israeli nor Damascus has commented on the report.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if an entire class of young bochrim would learn a sefer Mishnah and dedicate the siyum to wounded soldiers?
These acts would go much farther toward earning the public’s support than the current strategy, which only alienates the frum communities.
