To number one why would you call it over the top I bet you that the whole wedding with thousands of Hasidim rejoicing with there rabbi cost less then then most ostentation wedding that are the norm here
It’s a time of rejoicing not only the wedding but also the succesful rebuild of belz and klal yisroel after the the churban
And number two too many pictures then don’t look

Can someone explain the difference between Belz and Satmar? The only thing I’m noticing different is the length of Mitzva Tanz leash that the bride is holding. Satmar like to use a 40 foot long one which is more interesting. The streimels and binoculars that men use seem to be the same between the sects.

I understand the bride is from the Trisker dynasty, small now since the churban, but active in London & Boston & HaEretz. May they have many healthy children.

Why do they keep saying the Belz is the largest Hasidic community????
I think it much less than 100,000 and less than Satmar and Lubavich?!

Mazel Tov to the choson, kallah, both of their families, and the entire Belz community.

I was surprised to see that the kallah continued to wear a veil over her face even after the chupah. Is this a chassidic minhag or specifically Belz?

Very nice pics, but it would be nice if VIN put captions for those of us who are not yet familial with all the dignitaries. Thank you to Chaim above for listing them, but it would be nice to recognize who is who

tell me again about poverty in the hareidi communities!
Maybe if the rebbes spent spent money on themselves then there would be less poverty.

They only allowed Belzer Chasidim or invited guest into the hall.
There was security at every entrance and they didn’t let in without a card or hand band

I am not a Chasid, and do have some issues with Chassidus in general, but what a beautiful Chasunah. To think that this community was almost completely destroyed only a few decades ago. Hashem’s ways are mysterious and we can never truly know them, but if one cannot see the hand of Hashem in this rebirth, along with the rebirth of Eretz Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael, only after a few decades of the almost complete Churban of Yidden in WW2, then you just aren’t looking.
