Rockland County, NY – A 60 year-old Israeli national who has been living in the Monsey, NY illegally under a presumed name has been sentenced to 8 years in prison after pleading guilty in January to sexually assaulting a young girl for four years, beginning when she was 12 years-old.

LOHUD.com (http://lohud.us/19SBM1b) reports that Dovid Kohn faced his accuser today during his sentencing before Rockland County Court Judge William Nelson.

His victim, now 21, told Kohn that he “ruined her life,” but that she will “carry on” in spite of what he has done to her.

Prosecutors said that Kohn used the threat of “ostracization” to prevent the girl from reporting the abuse while he was molesting her, but that the victim finally came forward last year, and assisted the Ramapo police in securing an indictment against Kohn.

The victim also told the courts she hopes her actions will encourage other ultra-Orthodox victims to come forward, as well.

Authorities said Kohn was also in possession of documentation stating his real name is Avraham Perl, and have asked federal authorities and international agencies for help in identifying him.

Hope he shares a cell with Weberman so they can compare stories. He too deserves 108 yrs in prison.
The sad part of this story is that he only got 8 years.

On the positive side, It took a lot of courage for this girl to speak out. And by doing so, she has saved many others.

He is the second one today according to the news in Monsey who is going to jail. I am embarrassed to read the Journal News anymore. Why can’t they remove their yarmulkas for the mug shots?

kol hakavod to this young woman. BH it’s getting harder and harder for “frum” molesters and their supporters to hide.

Unbelievable! I’m appalled that this happened again! True, there are probably a lot more in hiding, but still appealed! This poor woman, my heart goes out to her! I hope she is proud of herself, because not even knowing her I’m proud if her. I’m also glad the guy admitted his wrong doing, at least he’s a step above weber man.

I wonder why he had two different names

#17 How do you know Weberman is innocent and this one guilty? Thanks to the victim for getting this person off the street and saving countless others from abuse. Molesters continue molesting victims, one after the other until old age. Victims should try to go to the police and file a complaint.

Every time there’s a story on abuse here on Vin, there’s the same commenter hocking about Weberman’s and Weingarten’s innocence. Everyone is getting tired of this rhetoric. The tribe has spoken. They were found guilty. End of story.
