"The attackers tossed a stone at the window of the bedroom, and the window glass broke. The entire family of the rabbi, including a nine-month-old baby, were in the bedroom at the moment of the attack," a source said.
"This is another act of violence against the Jewish community in Dagestan, which makes us think about a dangerous tendency," the source said.
No one was hurt. The family called the police.

Window glass of all the three stories of the Makhachkala synagogue were also broken on December 24.
"The two incidents had similar forms and timing. Therefore, we ask the Dagestani authorities to tighten the protection of facilities of the Jewish community and prevent similar attacks in the future," the source said. [interfax]

Authorities? No such thing in Daghestan. Daghestan is the Wild West of Russia where clan warfare is common and where radical Islam has made some inroads. This sounds like the work of Islamist gangs as until Saudi Arabia stuck its tentacles into Daghestan there was no problem between Jews and Muslims there.

And I hope my friend Ovadia is OK. He is also an accomplished artist who paints Jewish themes.

Wake up Rabbi. Did it ever dawn on you that the local authorities are behind these vicious attacks?
