Scarsdale, NY – After seeing a recent newscast featuring a White Plains Reform rabbi twice accused of accosting unsuspecting motorists while claiming to be a cop, a 26 year-old Scarsdale man has produced a video of the same rabbi whom he says did the same thing to him while driving in Yonkers in April.

LOHUD.com (http://lohud.us/17LFMkf) reports that video, which was taken by the man’s passenger using his phone, shows Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski yelling at the man to pull over while holding up a tiny badge in his car window.
Borodowski, who is rabbi of Congregation Sulam Yaakov in Larchmont and who also serves as executive director of the Skirball Center for Adult Jewish Learning at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan, has already twice been accused of impersonating a cop to a White Plains man and a Mamaroneck woman.
The 26 year-old man, who said he had previously dismissed the incident as just the actions of “some crazy whack-job,” turned the video over to Scarsdale police who will be meeting with state investigators later this week to pursue the matter.
these reform jews aught to be ashamed. wheres the outcry? where is their leadership to condemn this?

You don’t have to apologize when you don’t insist anti-semitism and don’t intimidate the victims into not testifying. You can be sure he will be suspended from duties pending trial and will be fired if convicted, even if he plea bargains down to a misdenmeanor. Right now I will bet this guy wishes he were a heimish rabbi.
he is a conservative rabbi in a conservative synagogue, but he teaches in a reform temple as well – i looked up his writings and whatever he is he is a huge baal gaavah

most of the above posters make themselves sound very pathetic;oy they’re picking on us. when the story of the amish beard cutting made the news was that antisemitism? people who live a very religious ,seperate life automatically call attention and a certain amount of curiosity to themselves. it’s up to us to behave and not to wish that everyone else didn’t pay attention to us.
No outcry because no one is defending him. No rallies, no fu.d raiser, no cry it cannot be true, no excuses.

He is a reform in jewish law and in american law one of the laws he reformed was this one

One cannot compare the rapes and fondling of the Frum Rabbis to what this Conservative Rabbi did. That’s why the media is not condemning him…they realize he may be mentally ill, but not a killer of souls. How can you compare him to Weberman and all the others??
Rabbi Borodowski should be arrested again for impersonating a rabbi…..
