Tehran – Iranian Press TV stated on Saturday on its website that it has “learned that the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) – an agency of the US Treasury Department” is headed by “an Ashkenazi Jew called Adam Szubin.”

The article claims that Szubin is behind the pressure on Intelsat, which carries Iran’s Press TV. Intelsat is a provider of satellite services worldwide for media companies. On June 19, Intelsat announced that it would no longer provide services to Iranian channels including Press TV, which has been sanctioned by the US government.
Indeed Adam J. Szubin works for the Treasury Department as outlined above, but his profile on the government website of course does not mention his ethnic background.
The Iranian government officials and its media have often made anti-Semitic statements against Jews.
The Iranian station has also been removed from several other Western countries including Britain, France, Germany, and Spain. The article states that the “Israeli lobby in the United States” has also supported the European efforts to block the station.
The US consulate in Herat in western Afghanistan asked the cable TV provicer in the city to immediately remove Press TV from its platform, according to the report. The provider was instructed to replace the broadcast with CNN or BBC.
This is the first time US officials asked an Afghan cable provider to stop broadcasting Press TV since it entered the Afghan market four years ago.

It would be much better if that office was headed by a sephardeshe yid who was more in synch with the Iranians……why would you want some litvashe bureaucrat heading up that office???
Ashkenazi is specifically mentioned because the Iranian leaders like the leaders of shas don’t believe Ashkenazim are real Jews. They only believe that sefardim are true Jews.
There are 25000 Sephardic Jews who still live in Iran; hence the reference to an “Ashkenazi Jew”.
Aren’t the Neturei Karta the only Jews recognized by the present Iranian administration?
But the Iranians neglected to say whether the fellow is a Litvak or a Galicianer! How are we supposed to decide whose side to be on? 🙂
