Warsaw, Poland – Controversial Polish politician Jausz Korwin-Mikke has said that deceased Nazi leader Adolph Hitler was “unaware” of the killing of Jews in Poland, and that the Holocaust was most likely the work of SS Head Heinrich Himmler, who purposely kept Hitler in the dark on the matter.

NA:TEMAT (http://bit.ly/16O9Y9J) reports that in issuing his statement, Korwin-Mikke said he “dares” anyone to produce for him a “single” sentence proving Hitler knew about the extermination of the Jews.
Korwin-Mikke went on to say that he believes if a trial were to be held today, Hitler would be “acquitted” of charges of committing mass murder.
The controversial Korwin-Mikke added that he does believe Hitler should have been hung, but not for charges stemming from the Holocaust.
Korwin-Mikke contends that like many other figure heads, Hitler was kept in the dark about events such as the Holocaust, which was the work of “subordinates,” and of which he had no tangible knowledge.
Maybe this guy should be hung.

Additionally, as substantiated and indisputable reports have emerged in the NY Times and in other media this past year, the numbers of extermination camps, work camps, death camps, etc…was actually staggeringly higher than history had reported until now. Therefore, it is difficult to imagine and impossible to believe that there was ANYONE in Europe at that time that did not know what was being done to the Jews.

I have a book on my shelf called “Documentation of the Holocaust” by Arad, Gutman and Margaliot. (avail at the Holocaust Museum book store). I read only one Hitler speech so far in that book and it was like asking my own blood to chill over and run and hide fast.
If you want to think that Hitler had no role in any human atrocity such as the holocaust, you would have to assume he was a robot programmed by someone else with no internal hard drive of memories and workings. This guy is the holocaust with a lip and if you want to exonerate evil in such a manner, go dig a hold and live the rest of your life in it until we can fill it to bury you forever.

Not only was Hitler unaware, the German people were unaware. The Polish people were unaware over any hint of anti-Semitism in Poland. Korwin-Mikke believes that Hitler should be hanged over what he did to Poland, after all no one in Poland has ever been accused of anything that happened during the holocaust. Apart from everything else you can think about why this quote is just plain stupid, Hitler was a TERRIBLE micromanager, which is one of the main reasons Germany lost the war. There is no way that something as big as Endlosung was going on and he wasn’t involved. Deeply.

Worse than the atrocious English of VIN commenters is the complete lack of common sense in the responses (if anyone can decipher comment #26 , for instance, they deserve an award). What stupid, stupid responses! He is ugly, he ate too many sausages, his teeth are falling out….most commenters are entirely unaware that the photo is a stock photo and NOT of the politician this article is about.
I am mortified by the sub=par level of education in English and every other subject as well, apparently, of VIN’s readership. The fact that not a single one of these commenters seems the slightest bit embarrassed by their obvious lack of knowledge and education and the humor level of eight-years-olds is probably sadder than anything else.
Korwin-Mikke is a fringe “politician” who hasn’t been elected to an office since early 90s (when he had some credentials as an oppositionist to the communist regime).
He’s a libertarian (unfortunately…) so he’s present in the media as a representative of those views, but after the early 90s, he lost every election in which he participated.
The guy is an eccentric and an attention …. He made “controversial” statements about women, handicapped people (he criticized para-Olympics saying that if humanity wants to thrive, TV should show people who are intelligent and beautiful not criminal, ugly…or handicapped). He probably feels he’s superior to most people so he always adopts fringe views to prove how “clever” and “independent” he is.
In one word, he’s an insignificant clown and most people in Poland know it. And yes, number 27 – that’s his photo. Why would a stock photo be used to depict an actual person?

I made an account here, just to straighten some things up. These words were said durring TV interview, whe the discussion was about polish justice syste and penal law. Korwin-Mikke said that in form that there would be no evidence that could be upheld in court that Hitler knew anything about holocaust, and according to the procedure he would have to be released, despite the fact that it was clearly his fault. There was nothing about being “unaware” and not even a word was said about Heinrich Himmler.
So dear author – stop citating pro-regime polish press, that see this man as a treat to contemporary criminal polish establishment, which does everything to mock on this guy. Truobling is, that I hadn’t read anything about Himmler in the context of his statement in polish press, so I assume it is your own creation to cause more shock in a reader. If I would read your article in a paper form, it would be great candidate of wiping my ass afterwards – that’s what it deserves. Shame on you Mr Silver.
