Washington - Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton are headlining a fundraiser next month for the Clinton Foundation.

Chelsea Clinton will join her parents for a reception and dinner on Sept. 9 in Washington. That’s according to an invitation obtained by The Associated Press.

The event costs $1,000 a person for a cocktail reception and $25,000 a couple for a reception and dinner at the family’s Washington residence.

The former first lady joined the foundation this year. She’s working on projects related to early childhood education and the rights of women and girls around the globe.

The Clintons were holding a fundraiser for the foundation Friday in Bridgehampton, N.Y.

It's a sad commentary on our political savvy as a nation that America is willing to give Hillary a hall pass on her failed and unaccomplished tenure as head of state, and would now position her for the highest office in the land.

Look at how Kerry took the bull by the horns in his first days in office, while Hillary is mired in scandal and cover-up.
