Brooklyn, NY – The NY Post is reporting (http://goo.gl/bgSv4F) that the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe Rabbi Yakov Yitzchak Roth the son of Rabbi Avraham Chaim Roth who passed away in 2012, was arrested Tuesday in Borough Park by cops with the NYPD Special Victim’s Squad.

The Rabbi is being held in New York without bail for allegedly hiding his sex crime record in order to get a US visa and come to New York.
He had flown to New York from Tel Aviv in late August after swearing in a visa application that he had never been arrested or convicted, according to the federal complaint against him.
In reality, just six months earlier he had finished serving a 16-year sentence on his 1997 conviction in the District Court of Tel Aviv for raping, sodomizing and sexually assaulting a child relative, the complaint said.
The Rabbi is due back in Brooklyn Federal Court for a bail hearing on Monday.

Nothing new sadly we see some robonum convicted of crimes and jailed and it does not tarnish their image. And when they get out of jail they the people make a party for them because they fell and say he was jailed because he is yid and not the crime committed

I see that nobody knows this here, so just to inform, he is the son of the famous Shomrei Emunim Rebbe. When the Rebbe recently passed away his will said that his four sons would become Rebbes in different cities. This one has become the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe of Beit Shemesh. The father stipulated that none of the others become Rebbe until this scoundrel gets out of jail, and that’s exactly what happen. He finished his 16-year sentence, they all became Rebbes, and they are one big happy family.
