Israel – According to the daily chareidi newspaper Yom Chodosh, world-renowned Chareidi rabbi and posek Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, shlita, has ruled that a Torah-observant Jew may not employ Arabs in light of the recent massacre at the Merkaz HaRav yeshivah in Jerusalem.

In a shaalah presented this past weekend, Rabbi Kanievsky was asked by the management of a Chareid mosad whether yeshivos may retain their current Arab employees.

The rabbi ruled that, al pi Halachah, it is forbidden to keep them, and that all yeshivos should terminate them immediately.

Rabbi Kanievsky further stated that “It’s sakonas nefashos [mortal danger]: we are at war with Arabs and we can’t trust them,” and asked that his psak be publicized all over Israel. The rabbi also asked that employers employ more Jewish people so as to give them parnosah.

Anonymous 10:37pm wrote “it should also be against Halacha for a Jew to employ Hispanics”

This morning I attended the annual fundraising brunch for the only Jewish school left in the Bronx outside of Riverdale. There were at least seven prominent Hispanic politicians who gave up their morning to come support this important Jewish institution that educates any Jewish child — for zero tuition if the family can’t afford it. (A third grader from Albania spoke very movingly at the brunch — I didn’t even know that there WERE Albanian Jewish immigrants to America.) A Hispanic State Senator who is alao a Protestant minister spoke about the importance of supporting the state of Israel and presented a service award to my rabbi. This on PALM SUNDAY, one of the most important holidays on the Jewish calendar! That’s right, a Christian minister thought it more important to support a Jewish school than to be in Church on a Christian holiday! And there are no longer enough Jewish votes to matter in any Bronx election, especially in the neighborhood where the school is located. I am embarrassed to read comments like that quoted above. I would personally employ any of these politicians or their supporters!

I wonder if the frum hospital in Natanya (Laniado) will fire all the Arab help they get for work on Shabbos, as the Rebbe wanted to avoid chillul Shabbos in his hospital so they get in Arab workers to be the Shabbos goy.

What makes me sick is the stupid stupid stupid idiot Israelis who have for years employed the Israeli Arabs, when during the last few years they have proven themselves to be real dangers to the Jewish Israeli public. Why does a Gadol have to tell people what to do – where in the world has common sense gone??

Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky gets my respect.

    B”H, a gadol with real “Da’as Torah.”

On a side note, my Filipino neighbor says that Philippians would be more than glad to be cheap labor in Israel, and as a bonus they are not Anti-Semetic, and don’t commit acts of terror, and their crime rate is low.

The argument that jews don’t want these type of jobis garbage.

We just have to stop looking down on people and deciding what is a good job and a bad job.

Where in halacha does it state that every jew must own a company or only have a job behind a desk or in sales?

We respect people who employ jewish people and doubly respect jewish employers who pay their employees enough money where they can pay their bills.

If you look at the Forbes 500 companies you will notice that the top companies take care of their employees and their employees give back more because of the mutual repect.

You get what you pay for. Paying low wages might save you 60,000 over the year but how much money didn’t you make because of the service……??????????????????

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and unfortunately 8 dead bochurim because of employing arabs in a yeshivah. We learn the hard way. Hire erhlich people who need the parnassah and go–d will reards us all for doing the right thing.

In light of the recent attacks against Jewish women in the US by Hispanics (Lakewood, Jersey Shore and Monsey rapes, and the South Fl incidents where groups of young women were run down) combined with Chavez’s anti Semitic policies it should also be against Halacha for a Jew to employ Hispanics.

A number of shuls and cemeteries have also been vandalized in South FL. There have been police reports of Jews harassed and threatened by Hispanic employees in restaurants, stores and hotels.

It should be against Halacha for Jews to employ nationals of any country that has an official policy of Anti Semitism.

life would be be easier, jew didnt employ Arabs. then Jews would be on High alert if they see an Arab in a Neighborhood Or building where he doesnt belong.

But we all new that will never happen, because Arab are keep labor and they do Jobs alot of israelis wont do. it wasnt always like this

many years ago when the state of israel was formed jews did all the work from construction to floor washer. I guess over time people go lazy and looking for a cheaper work force and the arabs filled their need..
