David Light, 22, pleaded no contest in Superior Court to reckless endangerment and two counts of illegal possession of assault weapons.

Light, who was a member of the New Haven Sportsman's Club and the Jewish group Chabad at Yale, was arrested in July, for firing off rounds of blanks at the ceiling, insisting that no one would get hurt.
When police searched his room they found a cache of assault weapons and guns, several boxes of ammunition and a box of chemicals and fuses that could have been used for bomb-making, as was reported on VIN News at that time. [Hartford Courant]

This story is a bit confusing. How in the world does one “Fire BLANKS into a ceiling!”

If they were blanks, nothing comes out of the gun but noise and hot air!
Nobody EVERY gets hurt from blanks!

Blanks are used in guns all the time to start races, like College Swim Teams, etc., There is no reckless endangerment from firing blanks.

As for the collection of weapons, ammo, and other stuff, that is a bit weird, but the the article claims he was ARRESTED FOR FIRING OFF ROUNDS OF BLANKS.

Maybe blanks shot by Jews are more harmful?
