According to a Newsday report, a source who preferred to remain anonymous, said that police found Stark’s DNA while examining the interior of the Dodge Caravan. The 2002 van with Pennsylvania plates was found in Brownsville on January 15th, as previously reported on VIN News.
Investigators have been employing various forensic techniques to link Stark to the van, which appeared to have been washed and cleaned before it was impounded by the police.
Now what?
What’s taking so long!?
Let’s hope an indictment comes soon. Cops have suspects but need evidence to indict.
#7 he can’t write if he can’t spell ?
The wheels of justice do turn slowly, but the NYPD is working to establish a solid case. Stay tuned……….
DNA links Stark to owner, but he was already linked as he was the son of the construction guy, and maybe Stark rode with him to buy supplies, so he can explain presence of DNA. Is it DNA from blood or saliva or what? They need a stronger case, like a full confession. It is too early to know everything so they are methodically pursuing it as they should. Not a AHA moment yet, but getting there step by step.

I’ll bet that they’re outright lying about the DNA, as an interrogation tactic to smoke out a response from someone, anyone, even someone who is innocent. The current law and courts allow the police to lie, and they do it all the time.
If the owner of the van and his son are innocent of any involvement, they must be undergoing tremendous emotional pressure, strain and terrorism by NYPD tactics.
Innocent people need to worry, because the NYPD will interpret any casual, reckless remark in as incriminating a way as possible.
A lot has recently been written about the “Reid technique” of police interviewing, and other methods of getting wrongfully incriminating statements from innocent suspects.
