Lamm, the ruling boards of Bloomingburg and Mamakating and other town officials and developers connected to the 400-acre property are ordered to appear in Sullivan County Supreme court February 6 to give reasons why the order should or should not be lifted. No work is to be completed until then.

Is this the Zalis or Ahronis?

I am not sure why they keep referring to this as a Hassidic development. The developer is Shalom Lamm, the son of Norman Lamm. Hardly someone you would call Hassidic.

we the people of NYS didn’t get a chance to vote on gay marriage either – the people of the US didn’t get to vote for Obamacare – you vote for your representatives and they vote on laws – that’s how things work in America – but i guess the self-hating joos in Bloomingburg would rather get cholera from bad sewers than to.have to be reminded that there is a Torah from Hashem by seeing people who look like their ancestors did

The Satmar mafia strikes again. What will they sayw hen they show up in court this time? Well, they’ll scream antisemitism and pay off anyone they can. Then they’ll run around in a circle screaming “True Toyreh! True Toyreh!” while holding signs condeming secular Jews and the state of Israel.

My friends and I would move out in a wink if they wouldn’t make an issue with driving. They could get so many more families if they would drop this “chumrah”. As much as the housing issue is very hard in Brooklyn I don’t know if it’s easier being dumped in a village somewhere with no access by self inflicted inconvenient rules.

Development projects in NY never are voted in by the public, but go thru a Planning Board process that can take years. Shalom Lamm is a good guy with a solid track record of development. The locals don’t want any Jewish schools or developments that don’t pay taxes and which generally don’t pay attention to building codes, etc. We’ve created the situation against us by being bad neighbors in KJ, Monsey, Sullivan County.

This is a real chillul hashem . The developer, Reb Shalom, is the son of a big tzadik and talmid chacham who recently retired as Rosh Yeshiva of REITS and is venerated by all the major chassidus, something few rabbonim can claim these days. The development would add needed housing and significant architectural diversity to Monsey

They were afraid it would turn into another Ramapo which is an absolute mess with illegal housing and yeshivas all over the place. I’m Frum, so don’t call me an anti semite. I have 2 illegal yeshivas on my block in converted houses. Leaky roofs, no fire alarms and 2 bathrooms for 45 kids. Bloomingdale doesn’t want or need the tzouris.

Fact is where ever a group of Jews move into , they face anti semitism. These hill Billy’s have never seen a family with more than a kid and a dog. I don’t really blame them. They chose to live in the boondocks , and they want it to stay like that. But a developer has a legal right to buy and build legally. The new owners can also legally become voters and vote they way zoning and etc. will be. That’s the way of the American dream and democratic system. And I bet u the current owners can sell their properties for much more than ever.

Every house built in this new neighborhood will relieve the demand in other much needed areas. Real estate was always about supply and demand.
    I say, Build away.

What we have here is a community struggling with a severe housing crisis in Brooklyn.

The Satmar Rebbe Shlita, puts together a group of business people, to found a development upstate to alleviate the crisis.

BH they are extremly successful in this project & after doing EVERYTHING legal we are llweeks from moving day!!!!

    This is the Satmar Mafia??
