The Kosher Halftime Show will treat viewers to a 20-minute pre-recorded set featuring Lenny Solomon of Shlock Rock, Avromie Weisberger, Jonathan Rimberg, Ari Boiangiu and Ethan Bill.

THEJEWISHSTAR.com (http://bit.ly/1aT1kh2) reports that Nachum Segal said, “I have been thinking about doing a halftime show for a while, but I never had the appropriate platform. Given the success of the Nachum Segal Network over the last year, and the fact that the Super Bowl was coming to our own backyard, it just seemed like the perfect time to launch it.”

Interested viewers can go to nachumsegal.com for more information on the show that is sponsored by The Orthodox Union and Empire Kosher Poultry, among others.

This is a misuse of the word “kosher.” How low we have gone.

FYI: “Kosher” does not in fact have to refer to comestibles in order to be used in an appropriate context.

sorry, there is nothing I want to see less than lenny solomon and shlock rock. His act is stale. I don’t understand what kind of hold he has on Nachum Segal – he plays lenny solomon every day. Shabbos in Liverpool?? Gimme a break.

The OU and Empire should have included PETA and the union – keeping the original dirty mesirah team intact.

Either you think you can handle American culture or you live in a cave. A kosher half time alternative is very snicky for your true relationship with the western culture you have become a participant. The shows are not that bad and if it is annoying, turn off the TV. But its very funny too.

If it was successful, I certainly hope it improves for next year. The “kosher half time” commercials could have been better and the entertainment could never been better too.

There was NOT one female performer during the regular half time show.

Reb Moshe has a tshuva in the igros vol 8, to the question: Is it Chukos ha’akum to go to a ball game? He replies Since there is no law that anyone has to go to such a game it is not chukos ha’akum, he then continues, it is however litzanos and hasata li’arayos. I’m sure Reb Moshe ZT”L never went to a ball game but he also knew that if thousand of Goyim were getting together it wasn’t just to watch a few adults throw around a ball. If the half time shows were cut, I’m sure football would lose more than half it’s male adherents. But make no mistake about it, we need to thank Hashem for all western sports. The reason is: that the time, effort, thought, and money spent on sports in America is the time, effort, thought, and money Goyim spent on a pogrom in “Der Heim”. B”H they don’t have that much time to think about Yidden. Der aibeshter zul viter helfin.
