    At least 14 people were killed six of them police officers, and scores injured in the ongoing violent, often fiery battles between protesters and police. Riot police advanced toward protesters using a water cannon and stun grenades after shutting down nearby subway stations. Thousands of protesters had filled Independence Square earlier in the day, sensing that Ukraine’s political crisis was reaching a critical turning point.

    Just imagine how differently this would pan out and how different it would be reported if ti were happening in NYC with the NYPD / FBI / etc.
