Miami, FL – A UPS envelope destined for South Florida is sitting in a warehouse in Louisville, Ky., instead threatening to set off an international dispute that touches on both immigration and national security.

Cristina Bustos, 33, of Bonita Springs said relatives in Monterrey, Mexico, shipped her the envelope in late March. It contains the birth certificates of two relatives living in Florida who want to apply for their Mexican passports at the consulate in South Miami, she said.
Since the Sept. 11 attacks, the U.S. government has been concerned about counterfeit documents being used for fraudulent purposes.
“She said the only way I could get it was to send her proof that I am a legal resident here,” said Bustos, who works at a McDonald’s in Fort Myers. “She wanted me to e-mail her a copy of my green card.”

illegals threaten the very fabric of this country. They all do not pay taxes, get welfare and free health and education. They send 64 billion dollars of untaxed income to Mexico and does not circulate here for this economy. They all say if war breaks out they will leave and go back. The jails are full of them. The truth is:
Payroll taxes are paid by the employer (boss) not the employees (workers).
Illegals by definition cannot pay income or property tax unless they are stealing YOUR social security number and identity and using that for their returns.
THE TRUTH IS:
Illegal immigrants cost the taxpayers approx. $50,000 plus per year in services that we have to pay for. For example: we need more police officers, firefighters, teachers in schools, hospital emergency rooms, food stamps, welfare, section 8 housing, government printing everything in different languages, judges, interpreters, garbage pickup, public transportation (for every rider on mass transit the taxpayer pays more than double what the rider pays) etc. etc. etc.
They do not pay in anywhere close as much as they take out.
Very weird to see a company stand in the line of fire. I wonder what prompted UPS to take such a hard line stance on this…

There is a Museum of Illegal Immigration in Atlit, Israel where the British interned illegal immigrants to Eretz Yisrael during the 1930s and 1940s. Do you really think that those Jews should have been deported, or should have stayed in Europe?

Anyone that says that illegal immigrants would do work that legal immigrants would not do is a crock. I’m sick of hearing that. It’s simply not true. For centuries, hard working americans did whatever they had to to provide for themselves and their families. Employers are just simply selling their brothers and sisters and fellow americans out because their GREEDY AND STINGY- PERIOD. And these frum businesses that employ these illegals instead of giving the job to a frum teenager that needs a start in life or someone that needs the parnassa to pay the biils are scoundrels and don’t deserve our business. Not just the frum businesses, but all businesses across the USA. I’m an employer that can easily hire illegals, but i don’t because for 1 it’s against the law and can get in trouble for it (which many employers try to forget about until something hits the fan) and 2 – because i feel better inside knowing that I’m supporting frum families that also give tzedaka, pay tuition, can by kosher food, make simchas, shabbos and yom tov etc. etc. when you hire a frum person, that in itself is tzedaka. Since when did all these businesses, that hire illegals, drop there prices on anything. They just kept the prices the same and even marked them up in many cases, and made more money in their own pockets. construction has not gotten cheaper (although the quality has, by having illegals do the work because many of them are fly by nights). Produce (fruits and vegetables ) has only gone up even though they are grown, picked and packed by illegals. etc. etc. etc. WHERE IS THE SAVINGS TO THE AMERICAN. Not to mention the stain they are putting on the schools, hospitals, social services, killing good neighborhood real estate values by living 20 plus people in a single family home like squatters with junked cars on the property with license plates from many other states, the week end parties that brings noise and tons of beer cans strewn all over the place. How many frum landlords rent out to these parasites.What a chilul hashem. These greedy land lords could care less about the neighborhood- as long as they don’t live there. I can go on and on. IT’S JUST SICKENING.
