Chicago. IL - Obama: McCain A Hypocrit, 2 Years Ago He Said Negotiate With Hamas |
|
Obama fought back with the story of the Washington Post reports today, that Two years ago, in an interview with James Rubin for Sky News, Sen. John McCain expressed a willingness to negotiate with the terrorist group Hamas -- the very group that McCain has been relentlessly using to smear Sen. Barack Obama over the last several weeks.
Here's the key excerpt:
RUBIN: "Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?"
McCAIN: "They're the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it's a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that."

The washington Post continues to say:
Given that exchange, the new John McCain might say that Hamas should be rooting for the old John McCain to win the presidential election. The old John McCain, it appears, was ready to do business with a Hamas-led government, while both Clinton and Obama have said that Hamas must change its policies toward Israel and terrorism before it can have diplomatic relations with the United States.
Even if McCain had not favored doing business with Hamas two years ago, he had no business smearing Barack Obama. But given his stated position then, it is either the height of hypocrisy or a case of political amnesia for McCain to inject Hamas into the American election.

2 years ago Hamas was still the leading suicide bombing group, publicly declaring its dedication to the destruction of Israel and all Jews, so that last comment really doesn't fly.

He said we have to deal with them "one way or the other".
He didn't say negotiate with them without preconditions as Hussin Obama says to do with Amcadnijad etc. Obama's top advisor and Carter already met with acmadjihad.
Rememeber this is the McCain who said "bomb, bomb Iran.
Any Jew with any seeichel will vote for McCain, not Barack, the Talmud muvhuk of Wright, Ayers Farrakhan etc, all Jew haters.

McCain's economic and policy statements will drive this country further into bankruptcy and deplete military resources even further. He plans to cut discretionary spending by $1 trillion. Since it currently stands at 1.2 trillion per year, you can kiss food stamps, section 8, medicaid- and all the other programs that the yeshivas and their students depend upon- goodbye

IT'S A TOUGH CHOICE THIS YEAR - ALL 3 CANDIDATES LEAVE MUCH TO BE DESIRED. I FEEL THAT THE LEAST DESIRABLE ARE STILL OBAMA (AN ALMOST UNKNOWN WHO STANDS FOR LITTLE MORE THAN "CHANGE" TO ???] AND HILLARY (WHO BRINGS HER SICKO BILL BACK INTO THE W.HS. FOR ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF MAYHEM AND SHAME.] IF SHE HAD HAD THE GUTS TO DIVORCE HIM I MIGHT HAVE RESPECTED HER. THE THOUGHT OF BILL ROAMING THE HALLS OF THE W.HS. ANOTHER 4 YEARS SENDS SHUDDERS DOWN MY SPINE.
SO IF BLOOMBERG CANNOT BE DRAFTED I AM LEFT WITH McCAIN, AND MAYBE HE WILL STILL PRESENT SOME STRONG POINTS FOR US IN THE COMING MONTHS LIKE
" I WILL DEFINITELY RELEASE POLLARD DURING MY FIRST WEEK IN OFFICE, NO IFS OR BUTS."

And if I knew the above comment to be true I'd vote for McCain without any hesitation. The programs mentioned above have become cancers that are corrupting our communities.

concerning McCain's comments, McCain clearly said "...sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them [the Hamas government], one way or another"
There are multiple ways to read into how the US is going to "deal with them" and provide the Palestinians with "security and a decent life and decent future" and democracy.
I don't see that McCain want to negotiate or engage Hamas in peace talks.
I think McCain's ambiguity is quite clever as his statement was said was for a foreign audience NOT an American one.

So John McCain woke up and matured, realized the evil of that terror group?
What is Carter's and Obama's excuse for calling for normalized diplomatic relations with a terrorist group?

McCain is the better choice!
Is he the BEST choice? Maybe not, but among the 3 choices, there isn't even what to debate about.
I have to agree with IZZY FROM QUEENS shouting his words here making his point.
