New York, NY - NYPD Boosts Security at Jewish, Israeli Sites Across City

New York, NY - The NYPD is boosting security around synagogues, Jewish community centers and the Israeli Mission as a routine precaution amid celebrations for Israel's 60th anniversary.

Officials stressed there is no specific threat to New York at this time.

Extra uniformed officers and patrol cars have been stationed throughout various Jewish neighborhoods. And security posts are expected to continue through at least this weekend.
