The Journal News (http://lohud.us/1evpWZl ) says Fairview Fire Chief Anthony LoGiudice made the announcement Thursday night at a meeting of the Fairview Fire Commission.

The newspaper reported earlier that a retired firefighter claimed LoGiudice often used an anti-Semitic slur when referring to Feiner. On Thursday, the board of the fire district confirmed LoGiudice used inappropriate language.

He declined to give a reason but said his decision was not related to the criticism he received for the remarks about Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner.

It a good think he didn’t make antiislam remarks or he would have been fired.
