BANGKOKPOST.com (http://bit.ly/1jcMkti) reports that Youssef Ayad, a Lebanese-Filipino national who entered Thailand on a Philippines passport, was picked up for questioning in Bangkok after Israeli intelligence forwarded information to Thai officials about a possible attack on Israelis during Passover, which happens to coincide this year with Songkran.
A source close to the investigation said Ayad has agreed to accompany investigators to an unnamed location where the suspect claims bomb materials are being stashed.
“We are taking the holder of the Philippines passport to Rayong province to search for more bomb-making material kept there,” said the source.
Investigators continue to question French-Lebanese national Daoud Farhat, who was picked up on the same day as Ayad, but in a different Bangkok location.
As the investigation continues, Israeli and Thai officials believe there may be as many as nine Hezbollah-linked terrorists still in the country.
