Hampton Bays, NY – Man Arrested For Setting Fire To $34M Mansion Owned By Orthodox Philanthropist

    Photo via East Hampton Fire Dept.Hampton Bays, NY – Police said that they have arrested a homeless man in connection with a suspicious fire that heavily damaged a Multimillion Dollar Mansion in Water Mill, early Saturday.

    On April 19 5:49 AM, Fire Departments from Bridgehampton, Southampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Amagansett, North Sea and Hampton Bays responded to a heavily engulfed house fire at 187 Dune Road, and extinguished the fire.

    According to Southampton Town Police, Detectives arrested David Osiecki, 54 years of age, of Sagaponack. OSiecki was charged with one count of Arson 3rd Degree, a Class C-Felony. Osiecki was additionally charged with Arson 5th Degree, a Class A-Misdemeanor, for his involvement in a prior brush fire in the Bridgehampton-Hayground area.

    Town records list the owner of the house as Ziel Feldman, the founder and managing partner of HFZ Group, a New York City real estate development and investment firm. In 2011 The Corcoran Group Real estate brokers, put the Oceanfront property value at $34 Million.

    Mr. Feldman is a member of the Manhattan Orthodox Shul Kehilath Jeshurun, he sits on the Board of Governors of Hillel, and Moriah School of Englewood.
