At the end of the search the police reportedly seized a computer. The rabbi was not home during the search, according to the report.

The Od Yosef Hai Yeshiva in Yitzhar released a statement in response to the search, saying it was “ridiculous” and that it was “another attempt by the regime to silence and intimidate, but the Torah cannot be silenced.”

The army seized the Od Yosef Hai Yeshiva in the settlement on April 11 in response to the settler violence targeting the security forces.

At that time, the army said they chose to take over the yeshiva building because it was used in the past by the settlers as a base from which they attacked Palestinian villages in the area as well as Israeli security forces.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon has instructed IDF commanders, the police and the civil administration in the West Bank to accelerate the destruction of illegal building in outposts and settlements where the security forces encounter violence.

Army Radio reported Wednesday that Ya’alon delivered the instructions in closed door meetings over the past few weeks.
