Washington – Joe Lieberman: I’ll Speak At Conference Hosted By Pastor Who Said Hitler Fulfillied God’s Will

Washington – Sen. Joe Lieberman says he’ll speak at a July conference hosted by Rev. John Hagee, whose endorsement was recently rejected by Republican John McCain because of Hagee’s controversial remarks about religion.

Lieberman, one of presumed GOP presidential nominee McCain’s strongest supporters, said Wednesday while Hagee’s comments were unacceptable and hurtful, he will judge him on his life work fighting anti-Semitism and building bridges between Christians and Jews.

Lieberman, I-Conn., will speak at Hagee’s “Christians United for Israel” summit in Washington.

McCain last week repudiated the months-old endorsement by the preacher after an audio recording surfaced in which Hagee said God sent Adolf Hitler to help Jews reach the promised land.

Hagee has clearly shown his true anti-Semitic colors. Joe should support McCain but every Jew and decent Christian should stop falling for Hagee’s pretense of “loving” Israel. His remarks about Hitler prove that he does not.

Strange how quickly Hagee backed off McCain and all involvement in the presidential race once his anti-Semitism was exposed for the world to see.

I think alot of people are not aware of how pro-Israel Hagee is. We have enough enemies all over the world…we have few true friends. Why not recognize that and support someone who claims to love us and defends us?

Everything is Hashgacha Pratis, therefore…Hitler was sent by Hashem. Why Hashem did this no one knows, and no one wants to know, but the fact is that it happened. Whether Hagee is correct that Hitler was sent so that Israel could be established is lav davka, but his remarks are certainly not anti-semitic.

I have heard this comment/”explanation” concerning the “need” for the Holocaust before. Similar (if not, IDENTICAL) THINGS HAVE BEEN SAID by Jews. My point is—DON”T alienate Hagee, or call him anti-semitic–I assure you he is Not. He is a true friend to the Jewish people (without hidden agendas or questionable, i.e. motives such as conversion etc. Hagee is more Pro-Israel than 99% of our “courageous”, so called (Jewish)spokespersons from “OFFICIAL” Organizations….The American Jewish this or that…do these people really speak for us???

Don’t take my word on him (Hagee)- Speak to Orthodox Rabbis in the San Antonio TX area.

Many people are not going to like this but the fact is, G-d does not hand out lollipops. He is the boss and he tells us what to do. When the Yidden R”L do not fulfill the will of Hashem, he has personally promised us a holocaust outlined in shocking detail in last weeks parsha. At the time, the intermarriage rate in Germany was 42% and Jews were intertwined in Government, business, banking, theatre, and society more than any other country in Europe. Germany is the last place where the holocaust could have happened. But Hashem is boss and when he says do not intermarry with them. he means it. Thanks to Mendelsohn, the father of modern assimilation, Jews got live, work, go to school and intermarry with Goyim. They got away with it for 150 years, but hashem says you can do it the easy way or the hard way, but it’s gonna be my way. When the Jews of Germany did not listen to Hashem, It was the Germans that issued the first Nuremnburg laws in Sept 1935. They said:

A Jew may not marry a gentile. Such marriages do will be annulled as they never existed.

Do not go out of the country and get married somewhere and return to germany. We do not recognoze such marriages. A Jew cannot marry a Gentile.

Do not think you will circumvent the law by living together with a gentile outside of marriage, A Jew cannot live with a gentile. You will be fined, imprisoned, and sent to hard labor.

The rest of the Tochocha followed. So technically AH y”sh fulfilled Hashem’s gezaira, but harbei shluchim yesh l’mokom. Nobody asked him to volunteer for the job and therefore he will get his share of gehenim. The priest that made the comment did not have this in mind and he will also get his share.

the point of the holocaust was to remind us that HASHEM is running the world and that we should do teshuva so we can rebuild the third bais hamikdash

matza LocO 101- I read your long comment. Great- except your anti-Hagee conclusion defies the logic of your argument. Do you pretend to know better tnan thousands of Orthodox Jews (lay persons, and Rabbis alike) what is in the heart of Mr, Hagee?

    Your Posting (unless you know something the rest of us don’t} is Mean to our Friend and is Loco (matza-loco}

how do you know that this is not what the priest had in mind?????

    Lav davkah!!!!

that’s PRECISELY what he had in mind. duhhh! If he’s pro-Isrreal, and a g-d fearing priest, he knows his “bible” and knows your whole long drasha — which was his intent in the first place

You people are entirely missing the point. The Lubavitcher Rebbe would constantly say that the Holocaust was from Hashem and had a reason, but that no person could possibly understand it, and no person should want to understand it. How can you say that the Kedoshim, and every Jew who experienced the Holocaust is Kadosh, were punished for their sins? Even if you wish to say that the German Jews deserved their punishment, which is a very sick thing to say, how do you explain the destruction of Polish Jewry? They weren’t sinning in any way?

The truth is, however, that no Jew deserves this kind of punishment; or in fact any punishment. If people thought more like Reb Levi Yitzchok from Berditchev and less like Christians and Muslims, who are big fans of G-dly punishment, then we’d be a lot better off.

To summarize: The Holocaust was not a punishment, to say so is disrespectful to both the Jews who suffered and to Hashem. Rather, Hashem had his reasons, but they’re not ones we would, or should, like to know.

    TRS,

    >>To summarize: The Holocaust was not a punishment, to say so is disrespectful to both the Jews who suffered and to Hashem. Rather, Hashem had his reasons, but they’re not ones we would, or should, like to know.< Your comment is so absurd that it really doesn’t deserve a response, but I’m working on my savlanut, so I will respond. To say the holocaust was not a punishment, when it fulfilled every letter of the tocha’cha, where Hashem says we will be punished is stupid. This is how Hashem shows us how he loves us, right? The Gemara in yerushami Chagiga 8:3 says that dever comes to the world every 60-70 years to wipe out mamzerim (that are not known to us) and also it takes kosher Jews with them “in order not to reveal their sin” of those that created mamzerim. It then quotes the posuk “In the place where you slaughter the Oleh, there you should slaughter the sin offering, “in order not to reveal their sin.” The Torah teaches us derech eretz that we should not assume someone in the northern part of the azarah is there for a sin offering because the oleh is slaughtered in the same place. I did not comment on any particular individual, but the holocaust was the tochachah in full force and it comes because of Yidden not following Hashem not because of Germanic economic concerns. If only people that sinned died it would take away our bechira, and that is an additional factor. The exact cheshbon is unknown to us but the holocaust didn’t happen because the Yidden observed all the mitzvahs “bisimcha u’bitoov laivov”. This stated clearly in the meshech chochmah on parshas bechukosi, which was published for the first time posthumously in 1926, he’s very clear on what will happen in Germany and why.
