In the video two views from the inside and outside of the library show the Toyota Rav 4 entering the front of the library, crashing through the glass doors and stopping near the circulation desk.

As previously reported by Vin News six people were injured in the accident, including three children and a 15-year-old girl was pinned beneath the vehicle.

The Journal News reports that the 15-year-old girl was released from Westchester Medical Center Thursday.

The driver of the SUV, Jean Lycee, 58, was released from Nyack Hospital.

No charges have been filed yet as investigators are looking into Lycee’s claims that mechanical issues caused the car to accelerate out of control.

Is it not yet known when the library will open.

I can not comment on whether this was a purposeful act. The aim was phenomenal.
I kind of think the so called dancing was some loud hysterical reaction, not dancing.

It seems to me that in the last couple of months there have been too many hit and runs and back up accidents. Why just today an orthidox yid was killed in Cleveland, Ohio A”H. A trich rolled ovwr him as he left a butcher shop. A father of five is in critical codition because a car sideswiped him as he was crossing in Flatbush. Also in lakewood thete are car tragedies. I get a strong feeling that they all are intentional homicides. I wouldn’t be surprised if the drivers have criminal records. Let’s investigate the driver who drove over a girl in the Finkelstein Library. It’s becoming a weekly occurance and we should do some investigations of the drivers who caused these accidents.

I hope investigators are focusing on electronically-induced unintended acceleration. Events suggesting electronic defects often begin at low speed in parking lots, the driver’s foot is often on the brake, and acknowledged crook Toyota has had the most complaints by far. Read “Toyota’s killer firmware: Bad design and its consequences.” Embedded systems expert Michael Barr found the following defects, convincing an Oklahoma jury to find Toyota guilty in the landmark unintended acceleration case last October:
    * Toyota’s electronic throttle control system (ETCS) source code is of unreasonable quality.
    * Toyota’s source code is defective and contains bugs, including bugs that can cause unintended acceleration (UA)
    * Code-quality metrics predict presence of additional bugs.
    * Toyota’s fail safes are defective and inadequate (referring to them as a ‘house of cards’ safety architecture).
    * Misbehaviours of Toyota’s ETCS are a cause of UA
To show fairness to drivers, cases like this library crash require expert investigations far beyond he expertise of highly trained auto mechanics. I’ve been blogging about the electronics issue – search “Beware of Toyota. Their next victim may be YOU…”
