Berlin – A new TV documentary charges that the U.S. was instrumental in faking the suicide death of Nazi death architect and Third Reich weapons defense specialist S.S. General Hans Kammler and providing him with a new identity in America.

DAILYMAIL.co.uk (http://dailym.ai/1pjwhR2) reports that the official line on Kammler from U.S. Counterintelligence at the end of the war was that he committed suicide near Praque on May 9, 1945, but that his body was never recovered.
The documentary features compelling testimony from historians and the American sons of a U.S. Counterintelligence official who claim Kammler’s death was staged by the U.S. so that they, as opposed to Russian Intelligence, could benefit from his expertise.
A Berlin historian, Rainer Karisch, said, “The whole history of suicide is staged. There are several documents that clearly demonstrate that Kammler was captured by the Americans.’
Makers of the documentary, ZDF TV in Germany, state, ‘Sources say that Kammler was captured by the Americans and interrogated by the US Counterintelligence CIC. The secret service man responsible was Donald Richardson, a personal confidant of allied supreme commander General Dwight D Eisenhower.’
Richardson’s sons are also featured, his son John Richardson telling ZDF that his father acted as Kammler’s handler after returning from Germany.
“This engineer brought a special treasure from the Third Reich into the United States. He offered modern weapons for us,” Richardson states. “It was put to my father that he should bring this ‘useful’ German into the United States to prevent him from falling into the hands of the Russian intelligence service.”

Completely unconvincing. First, no credible witness ever saw Hitler in Germany after his supposed suicide. Berlin was as of April 30 completely surrounded by the Soviet Army and Hitler y”s would have been immediately taken prisoner or killed had he tried to go through the lines. Now, a few units of the Nazi army did fight their way through the lines in the following two days, but almost all of the members of those units were killed or captured by the Soviets. Had Hitler y”s been with the unit he would have been noticed! He also would have had to make it to the coast through territory already occupied by the Soviets or Americans — the only significant remaining Nazi-held territory was in the South of Germany, in northern Italy, in Austria and Czechoslovakia, and in Denmark and Norway.
I highly doubt that this true
a lot of nazis were smuggled out to work in the West against the Soviets. A lot of rocket scientists went to be founding members of NASA which was as close to NAZI as they could make it without being too obvious

There has been some recrimination on this site, pertaining to the role that the USA had in smuggling some Nazis out of Europe, to the USA. I sincerely regret the decision which our State Dept. made, to bring Nazis here to assist with the rocket program. Unfortunately, it was a time that the Russians building hydrogen bombs, and there was a genuine fear that they would attach one to a giant rocket, aimed at the USA. Hence, there were those who thought that the German rocket scientists (many of whom were Nazis) could assist. It was recently revealed several years ago, the CIA brought to this country, a former Iranian terrorist, who was behind both the 1983 bombing of our embassy in Beirut, (in which a dozen Americans were killed)as well as the U.S. Marine barracks bombing in 1983, in which 241 U.S. Marines were killed. He was brought here, because he allegedly was providing our government with intelligence information regarding Iran’s nuclear program. The logic for bringing him here, as well as those Nazis in the 1940’s wass flawed, disgraceful and despicable!!
I hate to say this but the world may be a little bit safer that these Nazi’s were in US hands and not the Soviets (or the Arabs).
The Jewish refugees from Hitler on the St. Louis were denied entry in the United States and Cuba under the leadership of the thug Colonel Battista refused them entry but Nazi scientists who committed crimes against humanity were accepted here with open arms.
One German scientist who was employed at the Edgewood Chemical Arsenal turned out to be a war criminal and thanks to the U.S. government was helped to escape to South America to live out a happy life
Something doesn’t add up here. We were victors, we could chop any prisoner in war and bring him ashore. Moreover, we didn’t have to keep him by force: given favorable conditions on which other nazi scientists were living and working in our country, he would certainly stay here of his own volition. Where else would he go? Russia? Argentina? As a matter of fact, if any part of this story is true, he did stay here of his own volition. So why stage his suicide?

Hans Kammler is a nazi who stood against his own voice when the day was lifted by hate and suffering. A criminal with a word of no voice for any suggested dignity. This is a guy who would have snidely used a snot rag to clean his eye glasses to get a better look at the crematoriums.
To #14 - Regarding Reagan visiting Bitburg, on May 6, 1985, it was disgusting to see him on live television, walk through that Nazi cemetery, along with Chancellor Helmut Kohl, General Johannes Von Steinhoff of the Luftwaffe, and General Mathew Ridgeway, who had fought his way into Germany, at the end of World War Two. I never expected to see such a decorated American General at that event with Reagan. The Gipper and his aides realized that they made a mistake in choosing Bitburg. However, in order to save face, and not to insult the Germans, they went ahead with that ceremony, anyway. It should be noted that every Jewish leader, both here and in Europe, boycotted Reagan’s speech at Bergen Belsen, as a result of his Bitburg appearance. In addition, Reagan’s staff instructed the West German police, not to let any of the Jewish demonstrators near Bitburg, when Reagan was making his speech. One German actually came up to the demonstrators and stated in German that they should forget about what happened during the Holocaust! What chutzpah! After Elie Wiesel implored Reagan not to go to Bitburg, he stated that he received more anti-Semitic hate mail then, than at any other time.
Governments often do things for strategic reasons that their citizens wouldn’t like, so they lie a little to make it palatable. This is why they had to fake Klammer’s death.
