Oleksandr Feldman told authorities that the men surrounded him while in his car on June 17 near the parliament reports JTA (http://bit.ly/1lLlm0Y).
The men fled when police move toward them. Feldman’s bodyguard was with him during the incident.
Feldman is a well-known Jew in Ukraine and the originator of the Kyiv Interfaith Forum.
It is just one of many anti-Semitic attacks that have occurred in Ukraine since former president Viktor Yanukovych was forced out of his position in November.
The question is, who the instigators are. Are they pro-Russian agent-provocateurs or, good, old fashioned natural Ukrainian nationalistic anti-Semites?
Is the national sentiment against the Jews, or are these some insignificant groups that are no more than a temporary irritant. How seriously are the official authorities taking this phenomenon, and what are they doing to suppress it? These are questions that the Jews in the Ukraine must ask and get answers to.
